Alisa Wright – Chief Executive & Compliance Officer

Alisa received her BS and MS degrees from Purdue University from the schools of pharmacy and engineering, respectively. She has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including roles in product development, clinical and commercial manufacturing, new product launches, supply chain management, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and strategic planning. Her past employment includes work at Eli Lilly, NNC, Cook and Baxter and performing contract services for more than 500 life sciences firms. Her industry and community interests include ISPE, PDA, AAPS, BioCrossroads, Purdue’s School of Pharmacy, IU’s School of Informatics and Kelly School of Business, Chamber of Commerce, and Indiana’s STEM Education Resource Network. She is an entrepreneur and founder of BioConvergence.

John McLain – Information Technology and Validation Director

John manages networks, hardware and software required by the company’s operations. He’s lectured at Indiana University teaching undergraduate courses in data communications and networking. In addition, he was awarded the Professional Employee of Year from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He received an A.A.S. degree in Electronics at Ivy Tech State College. John has managed IT operations ranging from a small 20 user/computer network to a 1400+ user network. Also, he has 7 years experience managing IT at a large pharmaceutical company and an active member of ISPE. He developed the E-Transparency® System. He has over 21 years experience in the Information Technology field with 16 of those years in management. His technical specialty is in computer networking and security.

 

Dawn Fernandes, CQA – Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager

Dawn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Purdue University, and has 15 years of Quality Assurance experience within the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries; with a decade of experience directly supporting drug development, including analytical method development and validation, Clinical Trial material manufacturing, label generation, and packaging. She has served as a Lead Auditor for the Rx 360 Consortium’s Joint Auditing Program, as well as a leading global registrar. Her employment history includes Eli Lilly and Company, Safis Solutions, LLC (consulting firm), and Seradyn, Inc. (in-vitro diagnostics and micro particles). Her areas of expertise include Quality Systems development, implementation, and optimization, CMO and vendor/supplier qualification and management, GMP and ISO compliance auditing, inspection readiness, and stability program management. She is an active member of the American Society for Quality.

Lesli StasiekLesli Stasiek – Global Manager, Business Development

Lesli Stasiek has been a member of the business development team and will use her leadership skills to grow that area of company to target new business. She has worked in numerous sales roles in her career, including positions at Eli Lilly & Company and AstraZeneca. Lesli’s background demonstrates proven successes in strategic planning, client services, marketing and business development, teamwork, and customer service. Lesli received her BS from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management and her MA from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has over ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in sales and marketing, achieving top sales results and recognition with both her previous employers. Her background includes sales in CNS in both primary care and specialty roles, multiple product launches, various leadership positions, and the management of Key Opinion Leaders. She is also committed to mentoring and developing new talent within her industry.

 

Bob Lutes – Engineering, Validation & Maintenance Manager

Bob has over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. His experience includes Plant and Process Engineering, Maintenance & Calibration, Validation, Environmental Health & Safety, and Facility Security for small volume parenteral manufacturing facilities, including Cook and Baxter. Throughout his experience, he oversaw the plant expansions of an existing operation with a 45,000 square foot facility with less than 30 people, to over 600,000 square feet and 1,000 employees. The last project received ISPE’s Facility of the Year award in 2006. He has been an active member of ISPE since 1995.

 

Desiree Valentine

Désirée Valentine – Senior Supply Chain Manager & Business Alliance Manager

Désirée’s career experience includes positions in project and supply chain management, focused on creating value through sourcing, procurement, demand forecasting, materials planning, and SOP and policy creation in compliance with requisite regulatory and contractual requirements. Désirée currently oversees Bloomington and Indianapolis supply chain operations and manages strategic alliances with BioConvergence’s partners. Désirée received a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

 

 

Melanie Lewis – Human Resources & Training Manager

Melanie oversees the Human Resource and Training Department. She has 6 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and 2 years at Cook Inc. in the medical device industry. She is currently finishing up her Associate’s degree at Ivy Tech. In addition to her leadership role, Melanie is involved with the Environmental Health and Safety Steering Committee and runs the Safety Team there. She likes to spend time volunteering in the community and helping with the local junior high and high schools.

 

Dan Prince – Accounting Manager

Dan has worked for 15 years in the plastic manufacturing industry, before attending Ivy Tech Community College to earn his associate degree in accounting in May of 2008. Dan accepted the position of Accounting Associate in July 2008, and since has gained experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales invoicing, and payroll. Dan has developed a model for cost accounting to help allow managers to make better informed decisions. His title is now Accounting Manager and he works with the BioConvergence Leadership Team to serve the company.
